150th Anniversary Celebration event

It was a night of reflection and pride for Mission Australia – a community services organisation that began in Brisbane in 1859. Back then we were known as the Town and Country Mission and employed only a handful of staff. Now Mission Australia is one of the largest charities in Australia, employing over 3000 people and operating services in every state and territory.

Mission Australia would like to thank Sponsors AMP, Accor and Telstra for making the night a success.

Missionbeat celebrates 30 years in Sydney - January 2009

In 2009, Mission Australia's Missionbeat celebrates 30 years providing transport, information and referral services to people in distress and need in Sydney’s inner city. Missionbeat first hit the streets in 1979 when the NSW government abolished laws making public drunkenness a criminal offence.
