Our People

More than 3000 staff and 1000 volunteers make up the heart and soul of Mission Australia. We are united in our desire to see a fairer Australia and to help those in need find pathways to a better life. Together we embrace Mission Australia’s values of respect, integrity, compassion, perseverance and celebration. Our religious and ethnic backgrounds are many and varied. Our staff includes social workers, youth workers, psychologists, counsellors, community development workers, teachers, allied health workers, trainers, managers, administrators, entrepreneurs and fundraisers.

President and Chairman of the Board
Richard Grellman, AM, FCA was appointed President and Chairman of the Board in November 2000. He has been a director since 1984. He retired as a partner of KPMG Chartered Accountants in 2000 having been with that firm for more than 30 years. He is a non-executive director of AMP Limited and several other public companies.

Vice President
Ewen Crouch
, BEc (Hons), LLB (Syd) was appointed Vice President in January 2001 and has been a director since 1995. He is Co-Head, Mergers & Acquisitions for Allens Arthur Robinson. He is a non-executive director of PMI Mortgage Insurance Ltd and KONE Elevators Pty Ltd.

Vice President
Martin Watkins, BEcon (Hons), CA was appointed a Director in 1996. He is a chartered accountant and Director of Richfield Consulting, an executive recruitment company.

Ruth Armytage, AM was appointed a director in 1995. She is a company director with several community service organisations.

 

mission-australia-jennifer-lambert.jpg Jennifer Lambert, BBus, MEcon, CA was appointed a director in 2005. She is Chief Financial Officer of Valad Property Group.
mission-australia-donald-robertson.jpg Donald Robertson, BA (Crim), MA (Ed), Dip Env Studies was appointed a director in 1992. He is Associate Professor and Director, Australian Centre for Security Research, University of Western Sydney.

Desmond Robinson, BCom (Hons), FCPA, CA, AAIQ, was appointed a director in 1998. He recently retired as an accounting partner in the practice of MSI Taylor and retired as a Company auditor. Currently is chairman of the Presbyterian & Methodist Schools Association in Queensland, a private investor and a business owner.

Stephen Anson, founded and grew a successful recruitment and HR consulting business. He transitioned into the health care and human services sector rising to Chairman of Bethesda Inc. His current software company manages web-based patient education for thousands of health care practitioners worldwide and has offices in Perth and Denver.
