Café One on Wickham, located in Brisbane’s Fortitude Valley, is a non-judgemental, relaxed environment enabling people who are homeless, or at risk of homelessness to develop relationships and comfortably access community services.

Open from 7.30am to 2.30pm on weekdays for breakfast and lunch, the café can connect clients with:

  • Low cost meals
  • Welfare referrals
  • Flexible and informal case management
  • Crisis counselling
  • Assistance with applications for identity documents
  • Travel vouchers
  • Assistance with funding for some medical prescriptions
  • Basic health checks
  • Legal assistance
  • Help with Medicare
  • Access to visiting service providers including Centrelink, Spiritus, and a community legal clinic run by the Queensland Public Interest Law Clearing House
