Triple Care Farm (NSW)

Established in 1989, Triple Care Farm (TCF) is a unique and successful residential program for young people experiencing homelessness, substance abuse, mental illness or acute behavioural problems.

TCF covers 45 hectares of farmland in NSW's Southern Highlands and offers young people the chance to develop emotionally, socially and vocationally in a safe and secure environment.

December 2010: Friends, family, staff and supporters gathered at Triple Care Farm to celebrate the remarkable journey made by the 2010 graduates of the program.  Read on at this link

September 2010:  The residents of Triple Care Farm entered their short film 'The Farm' into the Play Now Act Now youth arts competition to discuss life before, during and after their stay.

Facilities for residents at TCF include:

  • Three comfortable residential cottages 
  • Outings to the movies, bowling etc
  • Weekend activities such as canoeing, hiking, mountain bike riding, caving, going to the beach
  • Work with the farm's animals, with help from Farmer Tom
  • On-site gym
  • Music Program with on-site recording studio and music room
  • Visual Arts programs
  • Educational programs to help with computer skills, reading and writing
  • TAFE-accredited training in Hospitality, Automotive, Retail, First Aid, Forklift and Wood/metalwork
  • Counselling support
  • Support for residents after they leave
