South East Metro Community Drug Service (WA)

Specialist AOD (Alcohol and Other Drug) counselling

This service offers one-on-one counselling for individuals, couples and families of people that present with significant substance-use issues. It also provides a group support structure for people who have less severe issues.

Diversion program

SE Metro Community Drug Service (CDS) provides a range of police and court diversion programs that aim to divert offenders with drug-related problems into treatment to assess their drug use. The aim is to increase the number of offenders undergoing treatment as a substantial intervention, with non-compliance resulting in a return to court.

CDS Supported Accommodation and Assistance Program (SAAP) Worker

Provides drug and alcohol support to young people in our transitional house at the Youth Accommodation Support Service in order to address substance-use issues as necessary and required.

Specialist solutions

Provides outreach to young and adult men in detention and offers drug and alcohol information, education and support in through facilitated groups and one-on-one. Some of those receiving support have been sentenced and others are on remand awaiting sentencing. All group and individual sessions take place at the detention centres.
