Urban Quest (NT)

Urban-Quest-2012-200Mission Australia introduced Urban Quest, a singing talent competition for 10 to 19-year-olds to the Northern Territory early in 2011, and it has been embraced by schools, students and communities.

While music is the focus of Urban Quest, it’s much more than just a singing competition that gives young people the opportunity to gain live performance experience.

It also aims to help young participants to concentrate on their strengths and build self-esteem and confidence through healthy competition, mentoring and support.

Urban Quest 2012

2012 heats were held in Darwin, Katherine and Alice Springs in late February and March.

The top performers from the Alice Springs heats went through to the semi-final at the Youth Hub on 10 March. The other heat winners will perform at Darwin’s Casuarina Square Semi-Finals, which will kick off Youth Week 2012.

The cream of the crop will take to the Darwin Entertainment Centre stage on 15 April to impress our star judges - Mark Holden, Deni Hines and country singer-songwriter Paul Costa. Paul and Mark will mentor singers in the lead-up to the finals.

If you live in Darwin, you can experience the excitement of the Urban Quest Finals for yourself. Buy a ticket to the finals today at the Darwin Entertainment Box office!
