Mission Australia works with communities across metropolitan and regional South Australia to support young people and their families.


Here are some of the services we provide in South Australia:

Pathways through a successful youth:

  • Mission Australia Centre
  • Onkaparinga Youth Services (OYS)
  • Learning Unlimited Programs
  • The Indigenous Youth Mobility Program


Pathways towards strong families and healthy, happy children:

Pathways through a successful youth:

Mission Australia Centre

Located in Hindmarsh, the Mission Australia Centre offers a range of services to young people, including:

  • Sobering Up Unit
  • Outreach Program
  • Youth specialist Personal Support Program
  • Clean Needle Program
  • Police Drug Diversion Initiative
  • CARDS (Youth Court Diversion) assessment and intervention
  • Group work program

The Onkaparinga Youth Services (OYS)

OYS is a Mission Australia initiative operated in partnership with the City of Onkaparinga, that delivers services to young people, aged 12-25, who live in Adelaide’s Southern Suburbs. Services include training, support and referrals. OYS operates out of Southern Youth Exchange in Christie Downs, the Reynella Enterprise & Youth Centre and the Volt Youth Enterprise Centre in Aldinga.


Learning Unlimited programs

Learning Unlimited provides innovative and flexible learning options for young people who are currently disengaged from the education system or at risk of becoming disengaged. It is delivered in partnership with schools in southern, western and northern Adelaide and in Whyalla.


The Indigenous Youth Mobility Program (IYMP)

IYMP provides support, practical assistance and case management to young people from regional, rural and remote Indigenous communities.


Pathways towards strong families and healthy, happy children:

Family & Youth Accommodation and Support Services.

This service provides a continuum of community housing options and support for families and young people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.


Pathways away from homelessness:

Reconnect

Reconnect is an early intervention program that operates in Adelaide’s southern suburbs and Whyalla region. It aims to prevent homelessness among young people, aged 12-18, and encourage family reconcilliation.
