On TRACK and Making Tracks (WA)
On TRACK
Provides a preventative and brief intervention service to young people under 18 who have been apprehended under the Northbridge Policy (a WA government response to the problem of at-risk children in Northbridge after hours).
Working in partnership with the Department for Child Protection and Juvenile Assistance Group, On TRACK provides an alternative to police custody for vulnerable young people, including those at risk of or with substance misuse issues and/or who are likely to commit offences.
Making Tracks
Working in partnership with other community service organisations, Making Tracks helps to provide an early intervention, holistic case management and referral program.
The service primarily assists at-risk young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders (and their families) referred by On TRACK in order to reduce substance misuse by young people.
Youth Mentor Program
This service aims to build appropriate and constructive relationships through one-on-one mentoring of young people referred by On TRACK, Making TRACKS and other Mission Australia services.
The Youth Mentor Program provides opportunities for young people to develop physically, intellectually, emotionally and spiritually, with a focus on empowering young people to become active and constructive participants in the community.
