There is a sizeable and growing number of grandparents across Australia who are raising their grandchildren because the parent/s temporarily or permanently unable to provide parental care. Whilst recognising the need to support the entire caring relationship, this snapshot focuses on the situation of grandparents, noting the challenges of parenting for a second time as well as recognising that there can be many positive aspects. |

We work with families and children in disadvantaged communities. We offer assistance to give children the best start in life through understanding the families’ needs, helping them to find ways to overcome the more immediate problems and challenges to build up their resilience long-term. We also work with communities as whole to build prevention and early intervention supports the whole community can access and that we know will support the families we work with.
