CONDITIONS OF ENTRY (to be eligible for prize)
- Instructions on how to enter and prizes form part of these Conditions of Entry. Participation in
this Promotion is deemed acceptance of these Conditions of Entry. The competition is open to all residents of Australia aged 18 and over.
- The competition commences 8.00am AEST 11/09/2009 and closes 11.59pm AEST
16/10/2009. The winning entry will be judged by Mission Australia CEO and announced on 30/10/2009 at 10.00am. The winner will be contacted by telephone, using the mobile number
- provided.
- On 30/10/2009, the winner’s name will be published on the Mission Australia website at
www.missionaustralia.com.au/apw
- The winner will meet with MP Ursula Stevens in November (at mutually convenient date) 2009 at
Parliament House in Canberra, ACT. Mission Australia will cover travel and accommodation (one night) costs of the winner.
- Only one entry permitted per person.
- To be eligible to win the video petition, the video must be no longer than one minute in length
and be suitable for public viewing.
- Video’s that include profanity, nudity, violence or unsuitable material for public viewing will be
deemed invalid. All video’s must meet youtube’s terms and conditions.
- Mission Australia reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of entries and entrants
(including an entrant’s/ winners identity, age, place of residence) and to disqualify any entrant who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these Conditions of Entry or who tampers with the entry process.
- If there is a dispute as to the identity of an entrant, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole
discretion, to determine the identity of the entrant.
- Mission Australia’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
- If for any reason a winner does not, once the prize has been booked, take the prize or an
element of the prize at the time stipulated, then the prize or that element of the prize will be forfeited and will not be redeemable for cash.
- Any ancillary costs associated with redeeming the prize are not included.
- Subject to the unclaimed prize draw clause, if for any reason a winner does not take the prize
or an element of the prize by the time stipulated by Mission Australia, then the prize or that element of the prize will be forfeited.
- Prizes, or any unused portion of a prize, are not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be
taken as cash.
- If for any reason this promotion is not capable of running as planned, including due to
infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of the Promoters which corrupt or affect the administration security, fairness or integrity or proper conduct of this promotion, the Promoters reserves the right in its sole discretion (subject to all relevant state and territory regulations) to cease the promotion with fair notification to the entrants. The form of such notification is at the complete discretion of the Promoters.
- Except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law, the Promoter (including its officers,
employees and agents) excludes all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury; or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of the Promotion, including, but not limited to, where arising out of the following: (a) any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under the Promoter’s control); (b) any theft, unauthorized access or third party interference; (c) any entry or prize claim that is late, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected (whether or not after their receipt by the Promoters) due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoters; (d) any variation in prize value to that stated in these Conditions of Entry; (e) any tax liability incurred by a winner or entrant (f) redemption of the prize and/or (g) participation in the promotion.
- The winners will be contacted by telephone and subsequently by email, using the contact
details provided in their entry.
- All entries submitted become the property of Mission Australia. Each entrant warrants to the
Promoter that each entry submitted is an original artistic work of the entrant which does not infringe the rights of any third party. The entrant agrees to indemnify the Promoter against all claims and costs by third parties arising from a breach of the warranty set out in this condition. Mission Australia is entitled to use any of the entries submitted for any purposes at its discretion, including (but not limited to) for any future promotion, marketing and publicity purposes.
- Entrants consent to the Promoter using the entrant's name, likeness, image and/or voice in
the event they are a winner (including photograph, film and/or recording of the same) in any media for an unlimited period without remuneration for the purpose of promoting this competition (including any outcome), and promoting any products manufactured, distributed and/or supplied by the Promoter.
- By entering the competition, the entrant consents to receipt of any email regarding the
competition, and other emails which inform the entrant of Mission Australia’s other publications, products, services and events and to promote third party goods and services it may be interested in.
- The collection, use and disclosure of personal information provided in connection with this
competition is governed by the Privacy Notice (see Mission Australia’s website)
