Our partner’s commitment to engagement strengthens relationships at all levels of the organisation. This past year our partner Vodaphone has increased by over 100 percent their volunteering teams, activities and funding of engagement opportunities and worked together with us on creative strategies to enhance the value of the experience for all involved.

Totally funded by the Vodafone Australia Foundation, the Youth Arts Program (YAP) is an innovative program which engages disadvantaged young people in an art program with local Tasmanian artists to develop their creative talents. The program assists young people in building self esteem and confidence and seeks to reconnect them to their school and community in a positive way.

In August 2005, Vodafone Australia Foundation and joint community partners Mission Australia, Barnados Australia and Father Chris Riley’s Youth Off the Streets were presented with an Encouragement Award in the NSW Large Business Category at the Prime Minister’s Awards for Excellence in Community Business Partnerships.
