About our centre director, Belinda Moore:

Where did you come from?
I was born in Melbourne - I have lived in the areas of Narre Warren / Cranbourne for 30yrs

What gets you out of bed in the morning?
The main thing that gets me up every morning is spending time with my 3yr old daughter each morning.

What do you feel is unique about your centre?
At Cranbourne east - we strive to promote a real home away form home feeling, embracing each and every little person that spends time with us. We also promote that we are not only a early learning service but a support network for families as a whole.

What is your own early years learning philosophy?
I believe that early childhood is a crucial time in the development of each individual, for this reason I will work in partnership with children and their families to ensure the best possible start to life. I also believe that each child has the right to learn through the play based on their interests. A child who is involved, enthusiastic and confident will strive to succeed and achieve all that they can.

Cranbourne centre philosophy:

We believe that early childhood is a crucial time in the development of each individual. For this reason we will work in partnership with children and their families to ensure the best possible start in life.

We provide a nurturing environment where each child has the opportunity to learn within the context of caring relationships with carers. Our educators will establish and foster learning partnerships with children and their parents.

We will provide a learning environment that is safe, secure and well maintained. Our environment is inclusive and reflects value and respect for the diversity of children's backgrounds and the communities in which they live.

Our learning framework will be based on best practice and principles of accountability. We will collaborate with children, their families and the community to plan, develop, implement and continually improve a high quality curriculum.

We recognise and promote play based learning in which children are able to express their ideas and engage in exploration, imagination, experimentation and creativity.

We recognise that each child's learning pathway takes place within the context of their family and community. For this reason we will promote partnerships with parents and community services in an integrated service model that ensures families are supported to meet the needs of their children.
