Officer centre philosophy
We believe a love of learning is one the greatest gifts you can give a child and our stimulating, natural learning environments are designed to encourage wellbeing, wonder and belonging.
Our play-based activities give children the chance to express themselves, imagine and experiment while learning. Families are invited to help plan activities to suit their child’s unique personalities and needs.
Family-focused We understand the demands placed on families in today’s world. We aim to:
- Encourage and inform parents and give them support in times of need.
- Provide access to early childhood, health and family professionals.
- Support working parents and those who want to study.
- Provide a place where parents can learn about supporting their child’s development and also share ideas and form friendships within the community.
Community-minded We believe children and families play a unique role in communities. We aim to:
- Help the community to develop sustainably and advocate for its needs.
- Ensure children and families have the resources, support and environment to lead positive lives.
- Provide a space for community groups (with and without children) to meet.
Proud of our people We know well-informed people are critical for effective early learning. Our staff:
- Provide a warm, encouraging, rewarding environment that is natural and welcoming.
- Build positive relationships with children, parents, families and communities and work with them to deliver high-quality and educational childcare.
- Respect the rights of the individual, celebrate diversity and promote social justice.
- Encourage each child to see themselves as valued and unique.
- Abide by our Code of Conduct and continually strive to improve the service.
