MA Housing New South Wales
MA Housing has a strong presence in NSW, with over 1200 social and affordable dwellings available in Central Sydney, Western Sydney, Blue Mountains and the Mid North Coast.
MA Housing is registered as a Class 1 Community Housing Provider in NSW and is accredited against the National community Housing Standards.

NSW applicant information
Affordable housing eligibility
The affordable housing program in New South Wales is designed for people on low to moderate incomes.
Rent charged is around 75% of market rate. Current eligibility limits for affordable housing are available on the Department of Families, Housing, Community Services and Indigenous Affairs (FaHCSIA) website.
Social housing eligibility
MA Housing currently has social housing in New South Wales and Tasmania. This program is designed for people who are eligible for public housing.
Rent charged is 25% of income plus 100% of Commonwealth Rent Assistance (CRA). Current eligibility limits for public housing are available on the Housing NSW website.

For social housing, you must be added to the Housing NSW Housing Pathways Register - we can help you do this. For affordable housing applications, please download and complete the Affordable Housing application form and post to GPO Box 3515, Sydney NSW 2001.

Tenant handbook
The tenant handbook is given to all tenants at the start of their tenancy and provides useful information on MA Housing policies, what tenants need to do at the start of their tenancy, how to end a tenancy and useful contacts.
Repairs and maintenance
Should you require repairs at your property, please:
- Contact your Housing Manager
- Complete the Maintenance Request Form, download here (coming soon)
- For major repairs and any insurance related matters, your Housing Manager may need to view the damage and take photos.

Tenant newsletter
MA Housing publishes and distributes a newsletter each quarter to all tenants. The newsletter is an opportunity to inform tenants about any changes to the organisation, to advise them on various policies and to notify them about any tenant meetings or events being held in their community.

Annual Tenant Survey
Every year, MA Housing distributes a tenant survey. The survey is an opportunity for tenants to provide feedback anonymously to MA Housing on the services provided. Surveys, where possible will be translated into the major community languages.
The information gathered from the surveys is then compiled into a report made available to all tenants, employees and the Board of Directors. MA Housing uses these results to monitor and to continually improve the services that MA Housing provides.
