Until Friday, 30 June The Spectrum Gallery will be showcasing The Winter FlareZ exhibition – displaying the latest art works from a group of 19 up and coming artists. Located at Level 4, 1 Hickson Road, The Rocks Sydney the FREE exhibition includes over 100 artworks in mediums such as paintings, glass art, hand-made candles, photographs, digital art and fashion design. This exhibition largely promotes the work of artists that have turned their creative hobbies into viable businesses with the support of Mission Australia’s New Enterprise Incentive Scheme (NEIS). NEIS is a program designed to help unemployed people set up and run their own business. Mission Australia provides participants with essential training in finance, marketing, small business law and taxation, at the end of which they will have a Certificate IV in Small Business Management. For a year, applicants are given access to a mentor, income support and business advice from Mission Australia. To be eligible for NEIS, applicants must be unemployed, registered with Centrelink as looking for full-time work and have a viable business idea. Applicants must also have the necessary experience, skills and attitude to become a successful small business owner. If you are eligible and interested in applying for NEIS, contact Mission Australia on 1300 00 NEIS or 1300 00 6347. Mission Australia’s New Enterprise Incentive Scheme (NEIS) has helped over 500 small businesses in NSW get established in the past year.
