Townsville gets behind local Race to Survive fundraisers

More than 100 Townsville residents donned their finest frocks and masks at a recent masquerade ball staged in support of the Townville Warriors, who will be participating in this month's Race to Survive: Mission Australia Challenge.

Over $6,000 was raised towards Mission Australia's dynamic three-day event, which is aiming to raise a total of $250,000 to help transform the lives of disadvantaged Australians.

From 26-28 October, Accor hotel teams from across the country will participate in a three-day adventure challenge and aim to raise $250,000 for Mission Australia services across the country. The inaugural Accor Race to Survive: Mission Possible Australia will help Mission Australia transform the lives of disadvantaged Australians.

Townsville residents are encouraged to support the Warriors as they prepare to race through a course that involves swimming, mountain biking, kayaking, running and camping overnight.
