GoodStart Childcare came into being in late 2009 when four not-for-profits - The Benevolent Society, Mission Australia, the Brotherhood of St Laurence and Social Ventures Australia – formed a consortium to operate former ABC Learning centres. ABC Learning went into voluntary liquidation in 2008. The launch of the new name took place yesterday morning at a Goodstart Early Learning Centre in Indooroopilly, Brisbane, and was attended by the Federal Childcare Minister Kate Ellis and Goodstart Early Learning CEO Julia Davison. "Our renaming from ABC Learning to Goodstart Early Learning is about articulating our purpose," Ms Davison said. "The first five years last a lifetime and every Australian child deserves the best possible start in life." To learn more about Goodstart Early Learning visit www.goodstart.org.au |
