As a legal practitioner, you can help our supporters include a bequest to Mission Australia in their Will. Here is a few ways you can help our supporters:

Join our legal panel
To help our supporters include a bequest to us - that will change the lives of thousands of Australians - please talk to us about being included on our legal panel.

While Mission Australia neither endorses nor recommends any particular firm, we do provide a list of firms that have previously assisted our supporters in preparing a Will.

Consider your client’s needs
Over 80 per cent of people over 65 trust a solicitor to prepare or update their Will.  To repay that trust it is important that your client’s wishes are included in their Will.

A good estate planner considers all aspects of a client’s lifestyle when drafting a Will. In many cases people who have a charitable inclination during their lifetime will want to continue that through their Will. Please consider asking your clients when they are providing instructions whether they wish to leave a bequest to Mission Australia.

Notifying Mission Australia
If your client decides to leave a bequest to Mission Australia, please notify us so that we can personally thank them for their generosity of spirit. Also, by leaving a bequest to Mission Australia, your client is entitled to honorary membership of the Benjamin Short society. They will be updated regularly on the important work of Mission Australia and invited to attend special events and service visits.
