Home Tutors

Role Home Tutors 
Description

Become a home tutor and teach basic English to a newly-arrived migrant or refugee in their home for 1 hour a week for a minimum of 10 weeks. Volunteers are needed in the metropolitan Sydney areas. 

No formal qualifications or experience necessary, just a competent level of spoken and written English.

A Criminal History Check is mandatory for all volunteers (no cost involved).

Mission Australia Centre

Role Pilates Instructor
Description We are currently seeking a Pilates instructor to volunteer at the Mission Australia Centre. The session would run on once a week for an hour (we are flexible on the day and time) and the sessions would be ongoing. The session will help our clients develop core strength as well as help with the personal relaxation process.

Wattle House WA- Catalyst Clemente Program

Role Crèche Volunteer
Description  The position of Crèche Volunteer supports Mission Australia’s Catalyst Clemente Program, a free university course for adults, at Mission Australia’s Wattle House service.

The Crèche Volunteer supports the program by caring for the adult students children, whilst the students focus on their studies.

The Catalyst Clemente Program aims to assist people, who have experienced life challenges; and assist to create constructive pathways to a better life, for example by helping people out of homelessness.
