Thanks for helping people in need regain their strength.

Welcome to your Impact Report, full of amazing stories that you helped make happen.

You helped give Laura her confidence back

Laura* was in a dark place after she and her three-year-old daughter Karla* were evicted from their home. She wanted to live independently and be a role model for Karla. She just needed a bit of support – and someone to believe in her. That’s where you came in.

A phone call changed Josh’s life

Josh had been living on the street for seven years when he came across a lost phone. It belonged to a friend of one of the case workers at Roma House in Brisbane, and they suggested he come check the place out. “At first I thought it was a joke,” Josh says. “But, within a week, I’d moved in.”

Val’s days are filled with magic, thanks to you

Val has lived at Benjamin Short Grove for over two years. And even though she needs a bit of extra help taking care of herself, her days are still filled with joy and magic – including hours spent playing the piano. Thank you for giving Val dignity and compassion.

Never feel that you are alone in your struggles. There is always someone who can help you. Good luck and stay strong.

It is possible to leave the fear behind you; to live in hope and trust again; to reach out to someone else and not fall.

You are valuable and deserve a chance. Things can get better. You are becoming stronger and wiser with each passing day. Stay strong and keep the faith.

How do you create the world you want to see?

Sue has volunteered all over the world. But it was seeing people sleeping rough on the streets of Sydney that moved her to support Mission Australia. “I had just come back from doing aid work in Bangladesh and I thought to myself, ‘This is going on around me at home, in my own country’". Sue is leaving a gift in her Will that she hopes will bring us one step closer to a world without homelessness.
