About
Coastal Connections is an early intervention program working with disadvantaged and disconnected families in the nominated locations of the MacLeay Valley who may lack the information, social supports and resources they need to access education, welfare or pathways to community participation. Coastal Connections delivers evidence-based parenting programs including Tuning into Kids; Circle of Security; Triple P Positive Parenting and Parents as Teachers, providing soft entry point programs that provide informal referral and advice for children and their families with outreach to assist clients in rural and remote areas of the Macleay Valley.
Who we assist
The target group for MACCFW will be disadvantaged and disconnected families with children 0-12 years who lack access to the information, means and social supports necessary to take up resources in the education and care system, and access to pathways to economic participation. As an early intervention program it will take into account and respond to the Aboriginal diversity in the cohort and focus on building the capacity of isolated parents by identifying and addressing issues that affect child and family outcomes.
