About
TYSS provides targeted youth support to young people living in Southern Tasmania, aged 10-18 years who are highly disengaged, have high and complex needs or multiple risk issues and without intervention are likely to escalate to involvement with a statutory service (Youth Justice or Child Protection).
The TYSS model incorporates both a practical and therapeutic component to address both the client’s immediate practical needs as well as addressing some of the underlying issues that have resulted in that client’s behaviors, risk levels and disengagement. TYSS is a voluntary program that can assist a young person for up to 2 years, through a client centered, trauma informed model of support.
