Gununa Bidngen Nyerrwe, the Mornington Island women's shelter, provides safe temporary accommodation and support for women (and women with children) when they are homeless, or at imminent risk of homelessness due to the experience of domestic violence.
Who we assist
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women and their children who are homeless, or at imminent risk of becoming homeless, due to domestic and family violence.
Eligibility criteria
Our clients are female (with or without children), are Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander, are affected by domestic or family violence, and are homeless or at risk of homelessness.
Referral process
Self-referral, or via police, or another service provider.
