Café One Townsville

About

Funded through the Skilling Queenslanders for Work, Work Skills Traineeship Program, Café One is a Mission Australia initiative supporting disadvantaged jobseekers in Townsville to gain a Certificate I in Hospitality while developing practical skills in a real café environment. The program provides a safe and supportive setting for people experiencing barriers to employment, including long-term unemployment, homelessness and disengagement from education. Participants gain hospitality experience while building confidence, communication, teamwork and customer service skills. Through accredited training and workplace experience, Café One helps participants move into employment, further training and traineeships.
