Mission Australia's Café One (Cairns) is a social enterprise program which provides people with a history of rough sleeping and chronic homelessness and social exclusion the opportunity to participate in vocational training and employment. Operating since 2016, Café One is more than just a job, it provides a step towards independence, achievement, dignity, and inclusion.
Café One aims to assist in breaking the cycle of homelessness by offering a training and employment support.
Cafe One also is available to provide coffee and drinks at local community and corporate events.
Who we assist
Those who have recently been homeless or have a lived experience of homelessness who are wanting to up-skill and re-enter the workforce.
