About

Reconnect is funded by the Dept. of Social Services (DSS). The community-based program supports young people aged 12 - 18 who are experiencing homelessness or are at risk of becoming homeless or experiencing family conflict, living in or attending school in the Gold Coast catchment area. Reconnect aims to prevent homelessness by providing support to find accommodation, informal counselling, mediation and support, with a strong emphasis on family reconciliation and community engagement. Young people either can self-refer, or be referred by anyone with links to the young person including family members; friends; schools; police and youth justice; housing and accommodation services; Centrelink; and other community services
