About
The WayBack Support Service is a trauma-informed, non-clinical, psychosocial service response to support people following a suicide attempt or experiencing suicidal crisis. The Way Back Support Service aims to prevent further suicide attempts by providing proactive, non-clinical support and coordinating access to community services and networks. Those who have previously attempted are among the most at-risk of attempting again. These are the people The Way Back supports.
The Way Back Support Service operates during business hours Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm. The service provides support across the Far West NSW LHD region via an outreach model
Who we assist
Individuals may be eligible for the service if they are experiencing a suicidal crisis or have attempted suicide. It is anticipated that most referrals will be made by the local hospital emergency department or community mental health service, although referrals from other sources such as GP’s, local services and self-referrals will also be accepted.
