The return of one of the world's most iconic bands is set to make an impact far beyond the stage, with Powderfinger partnering with Mission Australia as part of their highly anticipated Australian tour.

As Powderfinger reunites to perform for Australian fans for the first time in years, the band is encouraging concert-goers to support Mission Australia's work helping people experiencing homelessness, disadvantage and housing insecurity. The band will also be making a contribution to Mission Australia, helping ensure more Australians can access the support they need.

Powderfinger and Mission Australia unite to support Australians facing homelessness

Mission Australia CEO Sharon Callister said the organisation was honoured to be chosen as a charity partner for the historic tour.

"The return of Powderfinger will be one of the most anticipated music events of 2027 and we are incredibly grateful that the band has chosen to use this moment to support Australians facing some of life's toughest challenges.

"Every day we see the impact of the housing crisis, financial hardship and social disadvantage on individuals, families and young people across the country. This partnership will help raise both awareness and vital funds to support people when they need it most.

"Music has a remarkable ability to bring people together. We are proud to be partnering with Powderfinger and their fans to create positive change and help ensure more Australians have a safe home and the opportunity to thrive."

How Powderfinger's 2027 Australian tour will support Mission Australia

Fans attending the tour will be invited to donate to Mission Australia, helping fund programs and services that support people experiencing homelessness, young people at risk, families in crisis and communities facing disadvantage.

Powderfinger explains why they are supporting Mission Australia:

"Everyone should have access to a safe and secure home - it’s a basic human right - and unfathomable that in a modern country like Australia that this is not the case. As part of our 2027 Tour we're partnering with Mission Australia so that we can help to raise funds and support their valuable work in providing access to safe and secure homes for everyone here in Australia.

"Australia has always been an incredible place for us to play, and we're delighted to support Mission Australia as part of the 2027 tour. We hope fans will get behind their work and help make a real difference in communities across the country."

Funds raised will support Mission Australia's work delivering homelessness services, housing programs, youth support, family services and community initiatives nationwide.
