The new report pinpoints stark differences between female and male responses to the Youth Survey 2018, highlighting that more females than males were concerned about almost every topic in the survey.
Each year we encourage young people aged 15-19 to ‘speak up’ about the issues that concern them through Australia’s largest annual youth survey. Over 28,000 young people participated in 2018. For the first time, mental health was the number one issue of national concern in every Australian state and territory.
Mission Australia conducted its 17th annual survey of young people aged 15-19 years in 2018. This infographic details highlights from the survey findings.
This sub-report draws on data from our Youth Survey 2018 to compare the responses of young people living in major cities to those from young people who lived in non-metropolitan areas. Over 17,000 young people resided in major cities, while more than 10,000 young people lived in regional Australia.
