Brighter Futures delivers voluntary targeted intervention services to families with at least one child under the age of nine living at home who are facing problems that impact on their ability to care for their children. Brighter Futures helps to build strong/well-functioning families where children can live safe from abuse and neglect & have improved wellbeing outcomes.

Who we assist

The Brighter Futures Program is for families under serious risk, who are expecting a child or have children up to and including 8 years of age (at least one child must be 8 years or younger or the family will not be eligible). Priority of access will be given to families with children less than 3 years of age

Eligibility criteria

To be eligible for the Brighter Future program, families must either have 1 child under 9 or be expecting a child. They must also be experiencing one of the following: Domestic Violence, Parental Mental Health, Parental Drug and Alcohol, Intellectual or Learning Disability, Lack of Parenting Skills and/or Inadequate Supervision.

Referral process

Families are able to be referred to the program through community organisations or self-referrals
