Brighter Futures delivers voluntary targeted intervention services to families with at least one child under the age of nine living at home who are facing problems that impact on their ability to care for their children. Brighter Futures helps to build strong/well-functioning families where children can live safe from abuse and neglect & have improved wellbeing outcomes.

Who we assist

The Brighter Futures program supports families with children who are experiencing difficulty in their ability to properly care for their children.

Eligibility criteria

To be eligible for the Brighter Future program, families must either have one child under 9 years or be expecting a child. They must also be experiencing one of the following: Domestic Violence, Parental Mental Health, Parental Drug and Alcohol, Intellectual or Learning Disability, Lack of Parenting Skills and/or Inadequate Supervision.

Referral process

90% of referrals come from Department of Communities and Justice (DCJ) and 10% of referrals come from community based organisations.
