The Dubbo Family Support Service works with vulnerable families with children aged 0-12 years, providing a broad range of short-term early intervention services. The service aims to address the challenges faced by families and in doing so prevent issues escalating to the point that more intensive intervention is required. Families are generally supported by the service for around three months.

Families with children between 0 - 12 years experiencing low to medium risk issues that can be addressed by providing appropriately targeted, short term supports through case management and parenting programs.

Referral process

Families are able to be referred to the Program through Community Organisations or Self-Referral. Families will receive priority of access to services if they: are referred by a Family Referral Service are Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander have been on the eligibility list the longest
