Synergy Auto Repairs is a social enterprise smash repair workshop based in North Melbourne. Synergy offers a full range of smash repair services, while providing on-the-job training and work experience for marginalised youth; notably young people who have had trouble with the law. Synergy helps young people while they work towards a Certificate II in Automotive, combining study with work experience and pathways into further apprenticeships. Young people are supported through case management, mentoring and post placement support.

Who we assist

Synergy assists and supports youth at risk between the ages of 16 and 20 years old to obtain a Certificate II in Automotive, work experience, and pathways into apprenticeships. This is achieved through case management, mentoring and post placement support.

Eligibility criteria

Synergy auto repairs assists people aged 15-20 years who have received a formal Caution by police. The family member or members previously or currently involved were in the justice system for repeat and/or serious matters and/or have a history of not attending school on a regular basis (truancy).
