The Family Mental Health Support Service (FMHSS) funded by the Dept. of Social Services (DSS) is an early intervention and prevention support service for children aged 0-18 years (and their families) who are at risk of, or experiencing, issues relating to mental health. Participants can access any FMHSS via self-referral, through other community support agencies, or at the suggestion of family or friends. Who we assist

Assistance provided to children and young people 0 - 18 years and their families living in the Liverpool LGA who are at risk or affected by mental health issue.

Eligibility criteria

Families with children 0-18 years who are at risk of or affected by mental illness.
Clients need to reside in the Liverpool LGA.
Children or young persons under the care of the state child protection agency are not eligible for this service.

Referral process

Families can self refer.
Referrals are also made by agencies and schools.
