The Suicide Prevention Program develops, promotes and delivers suicide prevention activities and builds community awareness and capacity to respond to suicide and other related issues. The program aims to improve outcomes for people at risk of suicide across Katherine, Mataranka, Binjari, Lajamanu, Barunga, Beswick, Manyallaluk, Minerri, Kalarindji, and Jilkminggan.

Who we assist

At risk groups including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, children and youth, LGBTQI community and males.

Eligibility criteria

All clients wishing to participate in the program located in the communities of Katherine, Mataranka, Binjari, Lajamanu, and Jilkminggan. For clinical services, provider must obtain and record written informed consent from each client, or the clients legal guardian. This includes consent for both the provision of suicide prevention services and for the collection of information for the minimum data set.
