Cooinda Centre Day Programs address many of the barriers and challenges which can exclude people from social & economic participation including homelessness, substance dependence, family breakdown, unemployment, physical & oral health issues, mental distress & poor educational experiences. Services include dental, chiropractic, general, mental health, liver scanning, vaccination clinics, nutrition, dietician, generalist, gambling & financial counselling & legal clinic. Educational programs include the Catalyst University Program, TAFE outreach, specialist relapse prevention & therapeutic support groups, literacy & writing classes & art classes. Other services include yoga, tai-chi, meditation & access to computers.

Who we assist

We assist men and women who are homeless or at risk of homelessness and are experiencing difficulties with engaging and accessing appropriate support services.

Eligibility criteria

To be eligible for this service, you must be a man or woman, aged 18 years and over who is homeless or at risk of homelessness.

Referral process

We receive self-referrals, referrals from other community organisations, Missionbeat, employment services, health services including mental health, government departments, drug rehabilitation, probation & parole, corrective services, Centrelink, tertiary education institutions.
