Who we assist
Northern Sydney Youth Homelessness Service focuses on young people who are under 25 years of age. Young people under the age of 25 are able to access the early intervention, or staying home, component of the Service. Young people under the age of 21 years are able to access accommodation services, ranging from crisis to transitional & semi-independent. In the Northern Sydney area, the only crisis refuge is at North Sydney, whilst it is not incorporated in the Northern Sydney West Youth Homelessness Service, can be accessed as a result of the partnership between Mission Australia and Taldumande Youth Services.
Eligibility criteria
Young people under 24 years of age for staying home and 21 years of age for going home at risk of homelessness or experiencing homelessness in the Hornsby, Ryde, Ku-ring-gai, Hunters Hill, Mosman, Pittwater, Lane Cove, Manly, Warringah, Willoughby and North Sydney Local Government Areas.
Referral process
Referral taken from client, external agency, family, friend, FACS by phone, email or in person. Client consent required. Referral assessed by Program Manager and assigned to Case Worker / Counsellor.
