Friends In Giving Society (FIGS)
The Friends In Giving Society (FIGS) has worked in partnership with Mission Australia since 1987 and generously supports programs at Triple Care Farm.
Triple Care Farm offers over 100 young people each year the chance to develop emotionally, socially, and vocationally, in a safe and secure environment. Students stay at the Farm for three to six months.
When students are ready to leave, our Post Support Program provides assistance for up to 18 months.
FIGS’ support of the Farm gives many young people dealing with mental health and substance abuse issues the chance to develop their creative and vocational skills while gaining a solid foundation for pathways into further education or employment.
Over the last 25 years, the funds raised by FIGS have played a major role in the development of Triple Care Farm, including the building and expansion of the Learning Centre and renovating and extending Gateway House - an accommodation building for new arrivals to the program, plus involvement with most of the services that are offered to troubled young people.
Every spring since 1987, FIGS has hosted the FIGS Gold Ball at The Hilton Hotel in Sydney to raise money for Triple Care Farm. Because FIGS committee members generously absorb the administrative and overhead costs, all the money raised goes directly to the chosen Triple Care Farm project for that year.
The variety of programs at Triple Care Farm are continually changing, creating new challenges and successes. By investing in the Farm, FIGS can be secure in the knowledge that its support will have a real and lasting impact on the lives of disadvantaged young Australians.
