Herbert Smith Freehills
Herbert Smith Freehills has collaborated with Mission Australia for over 20 years, particularly in the area of homelessness.
Since 1993, Mission Australia, Herbert Smith Freehills and the Salvation Army have operated the Shopfront Youth Legal Centre for young people in Sydney’s inner city area who are vulnerable to homelessness, providing legal help to thousands of young people plus advocating for systemic change.
Pro-bono legal work is Herbert Smith Freehills’ major contribution to Mission Australia both at the Shopfront Youth Legal Centre as well as across our business in general.
In addition, Herbert Smith Freehills works directly with Mission Australia clients, such as those at Roma House in Brisbane which provides a residential program for up to 39 long-term homeless people.
Herbert Smith Freehills also makes financial contributions to Mission Australia, and individual staff members donate to Mission Australia through our workplace giving program, which the firm gift-matches.
Thanks to Herbert Smith Freehills’ long-standing and deep commitment to help Australians in need, Mission Australia is able to provide a brighter future for people experiencing disadvantage.
