Accor, Australia’s largest hotel operator has enjoyed a long standing partnership with Mission Australia, helping to improve the lives of those less fortunate, with a focus on combating homelessness.
Since 2011, Accor’s annual ‘Race to Survive’ event has been bringing together their hotel employees from across Australia to compete in a three-day adventure race, while raising funds to support Mission Australia services.
In just two years Accor employees have raised $2million to support Mission Australia services including:
In addition to Race to Survive, Accor works closely with Mission Australia’s Charcoal Lane program, providing support and employment opportunities for Indigenous youth. They also support Missionbeat which helps break the cycle of homelessness by transporting homeless adults and children, and intoxicated or drug affected men and women to services to enable them to meet their immediate needs. This includes safe accommodation, medical care, food and clothing or, as a last resort, a blanket or a street swag.
Mission Australia would like to thank Accor for their long term commitment to standing together with us to help Australians in need.
