Our impact in 2019
Together we provided safe, stable and affordable homes to more than 3,000 residents in 2018-19. In addition to this we:
- Mission Australia Housing grew significantly through the NSW Government’s Social Housing Management Transfer Program, adding 1,066 social homes to our portfolio in July 2019.
- We delivered 96 new dwellings in Western Sydney with 19 more underway, and in Tasmania 18 new homes were completed and tenanted with six under construction.
- Nationally, we strengthened collaboration and advocacy by joining The Constellation Project with partners including Australian Red Cross, Centre for Social Impact and PwC Australia.
- Tenant satisfaction remained high, with results exceeding the National Regulatory System for Community Housing benchmarks across all measures, and we introduced a new national Tenant Committee framework to amplify tenant voices.
