Find the volunteer role that's right for you

Two smiling individuals pose at a festive event. One wears a red volunteer shirt, and the other wears a Santa-themed shirt and hat.

Every role helps make Christmas special

Christmas Lunch in the Park offers more than 30 volunteer roles, and reading the Position Descriptions is the best way to choose a role that matches your interests, strengths, abilities, and experience. These descriptions help you understand your responsibilities and show how every role contributes to creating a joyful, seamless event filled with Christmas spirit.

  • Explore 30+ volunteer roles including face painting, food & beverage team, stewarding, table hosting, games, set-up, gift and care-pack distribution, and many more.
  • Supervisor roles for experienced volunteers: Supervisors receive extra information and must attend an on-site meeting in the week before CLIP.
  • More details at induction: Once your role is allocated, you’ll receive full guidance at your pre-event induction session.
  • Check Key Dates: Make sure you know this year’s deadlines before applying.

Early December volunteering sessions will also be available this year, with final dates and details to be confirmed.

Please note, some roles require an active Working with Children (WWC) Check.

Roles and their descriptions are subject to change.
