A big green finish to 2016 for Mission Australia Housing’s Clarence Plains community
Finishing up the year in 2016, more than 25 volunteers and students converged on Clarendon Vale Primary School in Clarence Plains, Tasmania for some hands-on fun, as they helped to construct the new 2,500-square-metre G.R.O.W community garden and outdoor classroom.
Soul Kitchen
Food brings people together on many different levels. It’s nourishment of the soul and body; it’s truly love!
In 2013 Mission Australia Housing took over the management of 500 social homes in the suburbs of Clarendon Vale and Rokeby (now rebranded by the community as Clarence Plains) in Hobart, Tasmania. Through intensive research and community engagement, we learnt what it’s like for residents living here and also, what their hopes and dreams are for the future.
