Food brings people together on many different levels. It’s nourishment of the soul and body; it’s truly love!
In 2013 Mission Australia Housing took over the management of 500 social homes in the suburbs of Clarendon Vale and Rokeby (now rebranded by the community as Clarence Plains) in Hobart, Tasmania. Through intensive research and community engagement, we learnt what it’s like for residents living here and also, what their hopes and dreams are for the future.
What do you get when you bring 65 passionate voices together?
This year’s Tenant Forum in Blacktown NSW brought together 65 Mission Australia Housing tenants from Greater Western Sydney and Common Ground Sydney in Camperdown, our Tenant Action Group, community partners and MAH operations staff and Executive, Chris Bratchford to talk about what is important to our housing communities and the people that live in them.
This Fathers’ Day, Werrington Dad Gafa Tinetalli will reflect on how a safe place to call home with extra supports has increased life opportunities available to his family for generations.
Thanks to community housing provider, Mission Australia Housing, the father of three and grandfather of one will be celebrating Fathers’ Day in social housing in Werrington surrounded by family.
