The Drug and Alcohol Treatment Service, located in South Hedland and Newman, is a community-based alcohol and other drug treatment service for young people ages 8-14 in the Pilbara. This service supports young people to develop a positive self-image, gain confidence and cope with difficult circumstances. It aims to reduce risk-taking behaviour associated with substance misuse in young people through appropriate treatment interventions and create a local service network that effectively responds to youth at risk, their families and the community.
