Parenting Together is a program based in Launceston and surrounding regions in Northern Tasmania for parents to attend parenting workshops and therapeutic activities to help foster positive parenting skills and relationships. The workshops can be for 8 weeks and the sessions will depend on the needs and goals of each family, with special small group sessions which will run to target specific areas. This service is for families with children aged from 0-12 years who have expressed an interest in enhancing their parenting skills. These group sessions can include: Triple P: Positive parenting and Stepping stones, Drumbeat, Parent-Child Mother Goose ,Bringing up great kids or FREINDS Resilience training.

Who we assist

This service is for families with children aged from 0-12 years in the Launceston community and surrounding areas who have expressed an interest in enhancing their parenting skills.

Eligibility criteria

This service is for families with children aged from 0-12 years. Parents will be encouraged and empowered to share and role model their skills and knowledge with other families so they become the experts in what they want to do. Families will also be given play packs to help encourage play in the home. There is no cost to attend any of these programs and the service will be office based as well as outreach options in the Launceston and surrounding regions
