Prevention, Assessment, Support and Treatment Program

Mission Australia in partnership with the Sexual Assault Support Service (SASS) deliver the Prevention, Assessment, Support and Treatment (PAST) program for children and young people (aged 17 years and under) who are displaying Harmful Sexual Behaviour (HSB). SASS provide primary intervention (early education), secondary intervention (specialised training) and tertiary intervention (through therapeutic interventions and lead support coordination). Mission Australia provide the lead coordination support in collaboration with SASS where required. The focus being on building connections between services and stakeholders, developing a common case plan and supporting the young person to reach their goals.

Referral process

The PAST Program is offered state-wide and referrals can be made by anyone including professionals, parents/carers or the young person themselves.
