The South West Early Childhood Support Service (SWECS) is a consultancy service providing support, resources, strategies and training to assist educators from mainstream Early Childhood services (including, long day care, family day care, pre-school, occasional care and supported playgroups) who need support to successfully include a child with a disability or special need into their program. The service supports children aged 0-5, with disabilities, developmental delays and challenging behaviours. The service operates across the Liverpool, Fairfield, Campbelltown, Camden and Wollondilly LGAs.

Who we assist

Educators from mainstream Early Childhood services (including, long day care, family day care, pre-school, occasional care and supported playgroups) who need support to successfully include a child with a disability or special need into their program

Eligibility criteria

The service must have a child enrolled 0-5 years who presents with a disability or special need or there is a concern regarding the child's development. The service must be situated in the Liverpool, Fairfield, Campbelltown, Camden and Wollondilly LGA's.

Referral process

Child Care / service staff anf the child's family complete the SWECS referral forms and submit them to the Early Childhood Consultant.
