ParentsNext is a voluntary program to support parents in preparing for employment as their children reach school age.

ParentsNext is designed to give parents the power to engage with personal guidance and financial and practical support on their terms with a proven long term positive impacts on the families overall life.

Confidence to apply for and sustain long term employment
Confidence to complete education and employment courses
Improved financial awareness and budgeting
Supportive and meaningful relationships with family and friends
Improved quality of life through accessing clinical mental health and counselling services
Confidence to independently access services, activities and community opportunities
Improved strategies to find work life balance.

Eligibility criteria

Who is ParentsNext for?
You can access ParentsNext as a voluntary participant if:

Your youngest child is under 6 years of age; and
You are in receipt of Parenting Payment; and
You reside in an eligible Local Government Area

Referral process

Through Services Australia or self-referrals for voluntary participants
