The Family Mental Health Support Service (FMHSS) funded by the Dept. of Social Services (DSS) is an early intervention and prevention support service for children aged 0-18 years (and their families) who are at risk of, or experiencing, issues relating to mental health. Participants can access any FMHSS via self-referral, through other community support agencies, or at the suggestion of family or friends. Formal referrals are not required.

Children and Young People 0-18 years who have a mental health issue or at risk of devleoping mental health issues and their families

Eligibility criteria

Children and young people (0 - 18 years) impacted by or at risk of mental illness along with their families.

Referral process

Accept referrals of young people and children from any source, including self referral and conduct an initial brief screening process to ensure FMHSS is the appropriate service
